Description: Ultra Rare Ram Air IV GTO, in Special Order Starlight Black with Slate Blue Interior. 4,215 Actual Miles! Only 140 RA IV's were Produced in 1970 with the Heavy Duty M40 Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission (Total RA IV Production @ 727 Units). This is a Full Numbers Matching Example with a Remarkable History. This was an Early Year Production vehicle that was Sold to Nib Johnston Pontiac-Buick-GMC in Courtenay, B.C., Canada in February 1970. Nib Johnston campaigned this GTO for One Year in the NHRA F/SA Classification, and then utilized it as a Dealership Marketing Vehicle for the next Twenty Years. During it's brief Racing Campaign, this RA IV recorded its Best E.T. at 12.57 Seconds at 112.07 MPH on May 17, 1970. This Ultimate Collectible has gone through a Concourse Rotisserie Restoration, and received the coveted Gold Award, at the Pontiac Oakland Club International event in July '07. Features on this GTO include the Original 400ci 370hp RA IV V8 which is mated to the Turbo 400 Hydra-Matic Transmission, and linked to a Heavy Duty Safe-T-Track Rear-End with 3.90 Gears.
